Another Top-10 Finish for Jessica Fitch-Hall at Cadwell Park
Another new circuit. Another huge learning curve. And another top-10 finish.
Cadwell Park was next on the calendar and, after taking on Oulton Park, it was time for another of the UK's most technical racing circuits.
Known for being narrow, tight and incredibly demanding, Cadwell was going to be a challenge – particularly as this was my first time racing at the circuit.
Four practice sessions gave me the opportunity to learn as much as possible before qualifying. By the end of the weekend, we'd turned that limited experience into a P9 finish.
Learning Cadwell Park
Cadwell Park is probably one of the most difficult circuits in the country for cars.
It's tight, narrow and packed with technical corners, making precision incredibly important. Small mistakes can quickly cost you time, so learning the circuit and building confidence was the priority throughout Friday practice.
With no previous experience around Cadwell, I had four practice sessions to get myself up to speed before heading into qualifying.
Every session was about learning a little more, finding where I could push and understanding how to get the most from the car around such a technical track.
Qualifying P13
After four practice sessions, it was time to see where we stood against the rest of the grid.
I qualified P13.
Considering this was my first visit to Cadwell Park, I was really happy with the result and knew there was an opportunity to move forward once we started racing.
Race One proved exactly that.
Race One – P13 to P9
Starting from P13, I had some work to do if I wanted another top-10 finish.
I managed to gain four positions during the race and crossed the line in P9.
Another top 10!
After achieving my first top-10 result at Donington Park, getting back inside the top 10 at a circuit as challenging as Cadwell was a brilliant feeling.
It was also another sign of just how much progress we've made during my first season in car racing.
Race Two – Fighting Back to P11
Race Two didn't get off to the start I wanted.
A poor start dropped me back to P13, leaving me with positions to recover.
I fought back throughout the race and eventually crossed the line in P11, narrowly missing out on another top-10 result.
Of course, it would have been brilliant to finish the weekend with two top 10s, but there are still plenty of positives to take away.

For my first time racing at Cadwell Park, I'll definitely take that.
Continuing to Progress
Cadwell was another important weekend in my first season as a car racing driver.
At Brands Hatch, everything was new.
At Silverstone, we started moving further up the grid.
At Donington, we achieved our first top-10 finish.
Oulton Park brought another completely new technical circuit to learn.
And now, at Cadwell Park, we've finished inside the top 10 again.
As a female racing driver competing in UK motorsport, I'm incredibly excited by the progress we're making. I'm still gaining experience every time I get into the car, and there is so much more for me to learn, but the results are beginning to show what we're capable of.
